Word Count: 100

A/N: For the P100 challenge 407: Stolen. For my Bingo Card (round 6) prompt: Original Characters (1/25). Thanks go to Fred for casting her eyes over it.
She knew. The knock on the door in the middle of the day. The suited man with a serious expression, the sorrow in his eyes. She wanted to slam the door, to deny what he would tell her.
She knew the name, Ed had spoken of him, not kindly but...
She sobbed as he spoke. His words no comfort, how could they be? Ed was gone and no words could bring him back to her. Her life was over, her future stolen from her and this man spoke of courage and bravery and of lives saved.
She wanted to scream.
