A/N: For the P100 challenge 331: Magnetic. Part of my Making An Impression drabble series and follows Self-doubts. Thanks go to Fred for looking this over for me, *hugs*.


To find out James harboured the same self-doubts as Connor did about being left was... well, shocking to say the least. James had always been what Connor thought of when people referred to a magnetic personality. He could gain the attention of a room merely by entering it, swaying people to his side and point-of-view through his command of language and people-skills.

He'd never thought to make the effort to reassure James, he'd never realised he needed too. Maybe he owed Burton something for making him aware of James' fears, but... fuck, he wished the bastard would leave them alone.
