Primeval drabble: Unwelcome Guest?

Connor sighed. Just perfect, Jack had arrived. No, that was uncharitable. Abby should spend time with her family, not just trying to cheer him up.

Abby's cry of “You bastard” followed by a resounding slap had Connor dashing to her side to see what Jack-the-idiot had done now. He froze in disbelief when he found Abby glaring at a stunned and obviously just slapped James.

At his gasp, Abby stepped back and looked between them. “I'll leave you to talk. James, if you're hungry we've lots of leftovers.” She shot him a very pointed look. “Certain people weren't very hungry.”

I had to go back and re-read the last one so I could understand this one! lol Okay, now i'm ready to comment. Good on ya, Abby! James deserved to be slapped for putting Connor through this. I know, his reasoning was good but he needed to let Connor make the choice! Love this.
