James smiled as his children opened their presents. It was good to watch them enjoying themselves. He turned, smiling at Steff as she squeezed his hand, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead. “Tired?”
Steff nodded, the dark circles around her eyes made it pointless for her to lie. “I can't believe you managed all of this by yourself, James. The tree, decorations, a bloody scrumptious dinner, all the shopping for food and presents.”
“I'm very good at being organised.”
Steff snorted. “Obsessed with it, more likely.” She pulled him down for a kiss, “Thank you for a perfect Christmas, James.”
