Stephanie couldn't stop grinning as she chatted to her room mates.
“Good night?” Julie asked with a knowing smile.
Steff nodded, hugging a soft toy.
“Spill.”
“James asked me to marry him.”
A chorus of shrieks sounded as they hugged, crying in joy.
Julie quirked an eyebrow. “Two out of threes not bad, Steff.” At their curious expressions she continued, “Well, no one could ever call James tall.”
Steff threw a cushion at her. “He's wonderful.”
“I never said he wasn't.” The young woman continued, “I just said he wasn't tall.”
“No, but you must admit he's dark and handsome.”
