Title: Mistaken Identity
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: Nick Cutter, James Lester, OCs
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For the P100 challenge 233: The Natural History Museum. Part of my Under The Moonlight wolfverse. Thanks to Fred for looking it over for me, cheers.
Lester tore across the ground at speed before he trotted back towards Nick, a wide grin on his face as he wagged his tail fiercely.
Nick grinned back. “Enjoying yourself?”
Lester froze and Nick looked worried as a voice yelled out, “Mum! Look, that's a dire wolf.” They both looked at the young boy dragging his mother towards them.
His harassed-looking mother smiled apologetically. “Sorry, he's been like this since his school trip to the Natural History Museum. This morning he called the neighbour's cat a Smilodon and their poodle a wolf.”
Nick almost sighed in relief. “Children and their imaginations.”
