“Connor?”

“I've almost convinced Burton to trust me.”

“That's good, isn't it?”

“You love me, right?”

“You know I do.”

“I love you too.”

“Connor? What's wrong?”

“I need you to be jealous.”

“I think I proved that the other day.”

“I need you to... well, to hit me.”

“Never.”

“Please, James. I know it will be enough to convince Burton.”

“I might yell at you, Connor, but I will never, ever hit you.”

“He's holding something back, I know he'll tell me if he sees you yell and hit me.”

“I love you, Connor, I could never hurt you.”

Lovely moment between them and liked James being so firm about not wanting to hurt Connor. If it came down to it for saving the world reasons he might be persuaded but I loved his firm resolve here.
