Primeval drabble: Counting Days
Title: Counting Days
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: James Lester, Abby Maitland
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For the P100 challenge 229: Backwards. Part of my Dreams Of Yesterday drabble series and set before Nature Or Nurture. Thanks to Fred for looking at it for me.
Abby flinched when James threw something to the ground and stomped off into the forest. She quickly trailed after him. The area wasn't safe for someone not paying attention to his surroundings.
James stopped after a short distance and turned to glare at her. “Leave me alone unless you can get me home.” With that, he walked back to their camp and ignored her.
Abby sighed as she noticed the notched wood James had discarded so violently earlier. She didn't need to count to know there were 56 marks, one for each day they had been stuck in the past.
