James looking from his watch to the anomaly and back again.
Abby was taking too long. What if something had happened to her?
James winced as he hobbled to the anomaly. One deep breath and he was through.
While, at least there wasn't anything trying to eat him.
He glanced around.
Bloody hell.
Abby had collapsed on the ground. Her skin had the faint blue tinge James remembered from his caving days far too well.
He wasn't quite sure how he managed it, but James dragged them both back through the anomaly. He just hoped he had been in time.
