James sighed softly as Steff walked around him, examining him from head to foot. “I feel like an idiot.” He had to wonder why he'd ever agreed to this charade... until he saw Steff's smile.

“You look perfect, James. My perfect centurion.” She reached out to adjust one of the leather straps of his costume.

Privately James didn't agree, but he had promised to help out and Steff had volunteered both of them for the Street Collection.

James was not looking forward to shaking a charity bucket in the city centre with the wind blowing up his tunic.
