“Where’s Cutter? And Temple?” Lester demanded once he’d escaped the SF medic’s attentions.
“They’re still in there, James,” Jenny informed him, one hand on his arm. “The fire brigade will be here shortly.”
“It might be too late by then,” Lester snapped before swaying slightly.
Becker grabbed him. “Let me and my men go back inside, sir.”
“It’s not safe.”
“With all due respect, ma’am, stuff health and safety1”
“Knew there was a reason I kept you around,” Lester murmured.
“Sir?”
“Go on.” Lester waved Becker forward. “Bring them and yourself back alive. Now, where is that blasted fire brigade?”
