“Where the hell is he?” Lester demanded as he paced outside the entrance.
“Please calm down, James. You know the traffic is horrendous.”
“Which is why I left 40 minutes early to ensure I arrived on time.” He glanced at his watch and scowled. “We are now considerably behind schedule.”
“Yes, James,” Jenny said in her patented calming-the-bystander-voice. “And he will get here.”
“He’s still late,” Lester declared, glancing at his watch again before sighing deeply.
“Oh.” Jenny reached out, tugging Lester into a hug. “You know he wants to get married to you, James.”
“I know, he’s just late.”
