A/N: For P100 prompt 945 – Prehistoric Marine Reptiles. Bit of a side-swipe


It was a pleasant day as she laughed with her boyfriend. Of following him up the diving board and jumping with him. Laughing as they dove hand-in-hand as they’d planned.

Of the huge, dark thing leaping towards them, jaws gaping wide as it erupted from the water beneath them.

Of them plummeting towards its maw…

She woke with a scream, shuddering and crying as she remembered the day Anthony died. Of the day she’d been arrested for murder.

She’d had the best psychiatric treatment in the country… but even now, she couldn’t go near any water bigger than a puddle.
