A/N: For P100 prompt 944 – Anxiety. Part 46 of my Ice Age series (it is about time I got back to it).



Lester couldn’t help feeling uneasy as he followed Helen towards the anomaly and this supposed disaster of a future. Could the slippery bitch actually be willing to tell him the truth for once? Lester barely repressed a snort, Helen and the truth were strangers.

Still, he knew he had little choice but to follow her and see what she wanted to show him. He’d be failing in his duty if there was any chance she was telling the truth, or even part of it.

Once he knew what she’d done to destroy the world, then, maybe he could stop her.
