James might be bone-weary after a seemingly never-ending day of dealing with one recalcitrant professor and an idiotic minister, but he still had one very important task to perform that night.
“Chrissie! Boys! I’m home!”
“Daddy! Daddy! Is it time?”
“Can we still make them, daddy?”
“Yes. Now, who’s turn is it to lay the table?”
“It’s already done, James.”
“Oh?”
“You are rather late and the boys were getting impatient… and worried they’d miss out.”
“Work, I’m afraid. Now, boys, remember we have to be patient with cooking.”
“Sorry, daddy.”
“Now, aprons on, hands washed and lets make pancakes.”
