James had been in two minds over their mini-break. It was time spent with Chrissie and their children (and away from the chaos of his team and the annoying minister). On the other hand, he knew Chrissie still hadn't forgiven him and he'd be doing all the driving.

Still, it was a sunny day and the drive had been smooth going... until they found the tail end of a traffic jam and he cursed silently at the radio's report of a 'traffic incident'.

And then the children lost interest in spotting cars and began to ask, "Are we there yet?"
