A/N: For P100 prompt 838 : Cat Among the Pigeons. I thought it was time to return to Ice Age – so this is #42 in the series.. and James is still not happy.



Running from a predator wasn't high on my list of things to do, not when I was still recovering from my recent illness, however, I had even less wish to be eaten...

I frowned at a patch of vegetation and grabbed Helen's arm. She glanced at me, an annoyed look on her face, before she followed my gaze and swore quietly before tugging me away.

I glanced back and swore myself as the vegetation moved and a large beast with far too many sharp teeth and claws leapt into the herd, scattering the sauropods like a cat amongst the pigeons.
