My phone flashed up 'Sorry. IOU'. Bloody hell, what had C... Temple done now?
The minister arrived before I could call Temple. I must admit I was distracted and had to drag my attention back to the meeting. I had no wish to give the sharks still after my position an opening.
As soon as the meeting was over, I informed Ms Wickes I was having lunch and rushed home.
I opened the door and stopped dead. "Con?"
"Lorraine said you were on your way," Connor informed me, his fingers busy at my zip. "And I did text you IOU.'
