I laid in my... I hoped our... bed, contented and sated, smiling against Nick’s skin as I pressed kisses against his bared neck. Not that I was under any illusions that my relationship with Nick would be all smooth sailing.

I was neat and punctual, Nick… well, he wasn’t. He wanted to inform everyone about the anomalies, I only saw lives lost and disaster if we did.

Still, they said opposites attract and I had to admit lying post-coital and curled around Nick, my arm wrapped around his waist, was… well, as sappy as it sounded, it was absolutely lovely.
