Captain Ryan was frozen, chilled to the bloody bone and found himself missing the heat, dust, sweat and burning sun of the desert. He stared into the snowstorm whipping around him, not that he could see much, even when the wind wasn’t blowing flakes into his eyes.

The only good thing he could say about the current weather conditions was that it kept people off the streets. Something Ryan was grateful for, with an open anomaly and an Ice Age killer on the loose.

A scream told Ryan that not everyone had been sensible and stayed indoors. “Go, go, go.”
