A/N: For P100 prompt 799: "Cute and Fluffy" Set in my Wolfverse series, probably after Shadows.


Nick hadn't wanted me on this Shout, but I'd read the reports... and what had been left out. I clearly needed another word with Becker's men.

I cursed, bloody Bailey was edging away from my lover and his post, leaving Nick unguarded as he examined the anomaly.

The anomaly bulged before I could reach Nick or snap at Bailey to do his bloody job. I could only watch as it spewed out creatures which scampered everywhere.

I cursed again. They might look cute and fluffy but I knew better. They were bloody prehistoric squirrels.

And I couldn't even chase them.

Lester eyes you suspiciously, then mutters it was horribly frustrating and the squirrels knew exactly what they were doing.
