A/N: For P100 prompt 787: Meteor Shower. Set in my Wolfverse series.
James was looking forward to the summer holidays, mentioning plans he'd made in the weeks leading up to them. He'd been surprised when he'd been woken early the first day, his bags packed and discovering his father had signed him up to Cadet Camp.
The camp was far more enjoyable than he'd expected, he'd made new friends and learned new skills. He also found his competitive streak as he led his group to victory, time after time.
Still, his favourite task was nighttime navigation, they'd finished first and early and James spent the remaining alloted time to watch the Perseid meteor shower.
