A/N: For P100 prompt 793: The Precambrian. Set in my Wolfverse and Nick’s giving everyone lectures on prehistory. Set sometime after Positioning The Pieces.
“Does this mean you won’t be at my lecture tomorrow?”
“I’m still planning to.” James tapped a finger against his lip.
“Is there a problem?” Nick asked as he finished undressing.
“No,” James purred.
“I meant with my notes.”
“Ah,” James blinked, his mind clearly re-routing. “If there is no threatening life, why are you doing five lectures on the Precambrian?”
“Because if the anomalies open by chance, most of them will open to the Precambrian.” At James’ enquiring look, Nick continued, “It comprises almost ninety percent of geological time.”
“Ah, in that case, carry on.”
“Oh, I plan to.”
