Title: Far Too Eager

Author: knitekat

Word Count: 100

Characters: Tom Ryan

Rating: 12

Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.

A/N: For the P100 challenge 181 'Goodbye'. Thanks to Luka for looking this over for me.

Ryan hadn't regretted leaving Afghanistan and its constant threats of insurgents and IEDs behind him. Body-guarding a bunch of Home Office scientists involved in national security sounded like a well-deserved holiday.

But now, as he surveyed the mess left behind by a creature that didn't have the sense to know it was extinct, he couldn't help but wonder if he'd been far too eager to say farewell to that conflict zone.

At least in Afghanistan he hadn't had things trying to eat him, or mad scientists to keep under control, or snarky bureaucrats telling him how to do his job.

But in Afghanistan he wouldn't have seen real dinosaurs. Shouldn't that be worth all the trouble?;)

Hee, true. The dinos (and what comes with them *eg*) will be well worth the trouble (nods). Thanks for reading.
