I glanced at the herd as we skirted it, frowning when I noticed they were moving restlessly. “They’re not nervous because of us, are they?”
Helen glanced between me and the herd before she beamed at me. I sighed when she took on a look I recognised from Cutter, the other Cutter. “You’re learning, James,” She said almost proudly. “I’ll make an explorer out of you yet.”
I bit off the words I just want to go home, quirked an eyebrow at her and waited for her to continue.
“There are predators circling the herd. When I say run, run!”
