I was leaving when my inbox chimed, scowling when I realised the message was from the minister. My ire grew with every word I read.
I didn’t consider the amount we spent on the menagerie as ‘frivolous’, no animal – especially Monty – was going to go hungry on my watch.
My eyes widened as I read his ‘suggestion’ and I swore when I recalled he’d voted against the hunting ban.
Well, he’d have another think coming if he thought I, or any of my team, would help. The menagerie would remain a safe haven until the creatures could be returned home.
