A/N: For P100 prompt 767: Scandals and Lies
Lester walked through the busy building in silence… conversations dying as he approached, only for gossip and rumour to follow in his wake. He knew they wondered what he’d done. How he’d gone from a powerful position with the minister’s ear to a tiny office in the depths of the building.
He’d heard all the rumours – from the frankly ridiculous – no, he hadn’t slept with and then dumped the minister – to the frankly insane – did they really think a spy for a foreign power would still be employed?
Even then, no one guessed multiple deaths, holes in time and dinosaurs.
