A/N: For P100 prompt 762: A Smattering of Snow. Set in my Smokescreen drabble ‘verse.
Lester woke with a grunt as a knee dug in somewhere delicate to find his youngest smiling at him. “Luc?”
“It snowed, daddy.”
“Has it?”
“Yes, you need to get up.”
“I do?”
“Yes, mummy said you’d take us sleighing if it snowed.”
“Did she?” Lester muttered. “Well, let me get up.” He winced as that knee came perilously close to parts of his anatomy once more before limping to the window and.. fuck. “There’s only a smattering of snow.”
“Daddy? What’s a smattering.”
“A small amount. I’m afraid it isn’t enough to go sleighing... How about a game instead?”
