Lester woke when Matt cried out and held his trembling lover tightly. “Do you want to talk about it?”
“I..”
“I’ve been told it helps.”
“Told?”
“You don’t have to… Is this about the cupboard? I should add claustrophobic to your file if…”
“No, James. I’m not. It’s… more of a flashback...”
“To Afghanistan?”
“No. The bunkers.” Matt shuddered. “I was trapped in a collapse.” He shuddered again. “I could hear someone, something scrabbling to get to me. I lay there for hours, not knowing if I’d be rescued or…”
Lester kissed him hard. “You’re safe, Matt. I’ve got you.”
