“Finishing my report,” Connor replied, head bent over his laptop and his bottom lip between his teeth.
“The one you told me you’d finished hours ago?”
“I had,” Connor looked up and met Lester’s eyes. “I…”
“You what? You know you can tell me anything.”
“I..” Connor started again before fidgeting with his gloves. “You’ll think it’s silly.”
“Connor, I promise I won’t.”
“We need a name for what we do. You know, like firefighters fight fires.”
“I assume ‘field team’ isn’t acceptable?”
“Well…”
“Of course not. What have you got?”
“So far? Just Anomonauts….”
