A/N: For P100 prompt 743: Changeable Weather. This might be a massive sideswipe at the prompt. Also for Becker and Lester character months.
Becker entered the drab and dingy pub and couldn’t imagine Lester frequenting the place, so he supposed it was the perfect place for them to have a clandestine meeting.
“Ah, Captain, good of you to join me.”
“You wanted to see me, sir?”
“Yes. Political favour is like the weather, Captain.”
“It is, sir?”
“Yes, one moment you’re in favour, the next…”
“You’re not?”
“Precisely.” Lester’s smile was predatory as he considered Becker for a moment longer. “Are you willing to risk your career to save the ARC from Christine, Captain?”
Becker’s grin was equally fierce. “What’s the plan, sir?”
