I sighed as my garden was trampled; knowing Chrissie would not be impressed by their antics, especially when Connor found a missed Easter egg and Quinn grinned as he enquired if I’d enjoyed my Easter egg hunt.

Quinn’s grin faded when I informed him it belonged to my children. Before I could berate anyone, Quinn turned and, for once putting his policing skills to good use, quickly organised a thorough search.

I frowned before recalling Quinn’s file and Patrick. Say what you like about Quinn, and I often did, I knew he wouldn’t cut any corners when children were threatened.
