I reached blindly for my phone as it woke me from a sound sleep. Only two people had the number and I had little wish to speak to either. My eyes widened as I listened to the minister. Bloody hell, dinosaurs were one thing but this…

“James?”

“Has the ADD alarmed, Con?”

“No...Why?”

“Apparently one’s opened in the House of Lords

“Did they notice?”

“Not until one of the Lords tried to eat another one.”

“Zombies? How cool is that?”

“The minister’s declared a State of Emergency and the Cabinet’s been eaten, I don’t think I’d describe that as ‘cool’.”
