As the dust cloud settled around him and the sun shone through, Matt knew they’d done it. They’d stopped the Great Disaster and now humanity had its future back. A chance to walk a different path rather than the sterile Earth Matt had been born to.

Matt allowed the slightest hint of a smile to cross his face when he realised he was finally free to make his own choices and to live his life.

To do what he wanted rather than what he had to do.

To be with the one he wanted rather than ignoring his own desires.
