A/N: For P100 prompt 711: Counting Down the Days. Mmm, not sure what I think of this but I hope it works.


I almost obliterated the date as I marked off yet another day without my lover. I knew my temper had deteriorated, with most of the team now avoiding me if they could. If only I could have talked to him… but it was top secret, above even my security clearance and no communication was allowed.

I sipped my decaffeinated coffee, supplied by the ever unflappable Ms Wickes, and sighed, I’d never realised how my own missions had effected those I loved.

I smiled and planned how to make it up to James when he returned from his bloody post-Converge meeting.
