A/N: For P100 prompt 709: Christmas Shopping. OK, my muse is obviously in an angsty mood.

Lester had loved spending time shopping with his family. He’d even enjoyed the heaving crowds, festive atmosphere and eager children, even his own, trying to convince their parents to buy them the toys they wanted most in the world.


But that was before the anomalies.


Now all he saw were predators attracted to the festive noise and lights, crowds which would panic and trample others, leaving the injured or less able behind and inadequate security which would be useless in the face of a determined hunter.


Now he feared the carnage that an anomaly would cause on busy Christmas streets.
