Danny paused to look towards Lester’s closed office door. Before he’d gone through the anomaly – the first one to stop Helen – he’d thought they might have been edging towards something more than friendship.

He thought Lester had wanted a moment with him after his return… but then Patrick had escaped and run and Danny couldn’t leave his brother lost through the anomalies again.

Now he was back, Danny wanted to see if he still had a chance with Lester. He took a step toward Lester’s office before smiling, knowing he’d have a better chance if he had a shower first.
