After the ‘Incident Never To Be Referred To Again’ in 2007, I had made it mandatory that all ARC office parties were to be held on-site. Oh, I knew it wouldn’t stop the punch being spiked (repeatedly), the abuse of photocopiers or any of the other shenanigans I didn’t want to think about. It would, however, keep any incriminating evidence from the minister.

Unfortunately, what it didn’t stop was Matt bloody Anderson bringing his plants to the party.

Although, on the positive side, I mused, leaning in to accept Nick’s kiss, it had stopped us from dancing around one another.

Maybe, but I doubt he knew it (maybe). Matt says he's innocent and besides, Lester and Nick aren't complaining ;)
