A/N: For P100 prompt 698: The Thames. I was reading up on the River Thames, trying to think what to write and then discovered that it is known as the River Isis in Oxford and then… idk.


“James?”

James swore softly, he’d hoped to slip out of bed without waking Chrissie. She hated to be woken up early, especially on the weekend.

“What time is it?”

“Early, go back to sleep,” he murmured, leaning over to kiss her.

“More rowing practice on the Isis?”

“We need it if we’re to win the Eights.”

“I do so love a winner,” Chrissie purred, nipping at his bottom lip. “Join me when you’ve showered and warmed up.”

“Chrissie!” James bit back a moan when her hands wandered.

“Just a little encouragement,” Chrissie replied. “Now, get out, I need my sleep.”
