Title: Night’s Sky
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: Helen Cutter, James Lester
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For P100 prompt 691 - Comets and Meteors. Part 27 of my Ice Age drabble series and continues from Wonders and Terrors. A bit of a sideswipe.
“Really, James, so distrustful.” Helen pushed away from the stone as the anomaly flared open. “Coming, James,” she said, adding, “unless you want to stay here. Lost in time and alone.”
Lester sighed, knowing he hadn’t another option, even if he won’t trust Helen if she told him the sky was blue. Still, he hesitated for a moment before stepping through, his skin twitching as he past through the anomaly, blinking as daylight turned instantly to night.
He glanced around for Helen before a noise had him looking upwards, the night’s sky lit as trails of fire streaked across it.
