Title: Coming, James?
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: James Lester, Helen Cutter
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For P100 prompt 686 – Pollen. Set in my Ice Age series and follows on from Come And See.
“Coming James?”
Lester wasn’t keen on following Helen anywhere, certainly not through an anomaly, especially when he had no idea where it led. “People would have adapted, at least some would have found a way to survive.”
“They tried.”
Lester clearly heard the implied ‘and failed’. “What happened?”
“The bees died.”
“The bees died?” Lester remembered the emergency plan for dealing with that, although he didn’t recall Franklin including worldwide disasters in it. Without bees, a wide range of crops wouldn’t have been pollinated, they would have failed and… “Bloody hell.”
“Correct,” Helen almost crowed. “Now, are you coming, James.”
