A/N: For the P100 Challenge 177 Hospital. Continues from Hospitals aka Hell On Earth and continues in Frustration. Set in my wolfverse universe (Lester's a werewolf). Thanks to the wonderful Fred for the beta.

Warning: Angst

The stench seemed to engulf James as if he was flotsam amongst threatening waves. He felt he really was fighting the tide as the smells swirled around him, almost overpowering him. With every step towards the desk James had to fight the instincts that demanded he turned and ran from this place of death and despair.

He was almost grateful that the harried A&E receptionist had over-done her perfume as the sickly manufactured smell filled his nostrils, drowning out all other scents.

His voice calmer than he felt, James spoke. “I understand you have a Professor Nicholas Cutter here?”
