Lester sighed when Becker dragged the latest miscreant in. Bloody hell, he’d known there’d be problems after Convergence, after the anomalies became public knowledge. What still surprised him was that the muck-rakers thought they could infiltrate what was once a top secret organisation and was still a highly secure facility as cleaners and expect to get away from it.

“How’s young Jeremy, Brenda?” Lester asked a cleaner as he left for the night.

“He got accepted.”

“Excellent,” Lester nodded. “Let me know if I can be of any further help.”

“I will and have a good night, James.”

“Night, Brenda.”
