Title: Trapped
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: James Lester, Helen Cutter
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For P100 prompt 673: Puppies and/or Kittens. Continues on from All In This Together and a bit of a side swipe.
Lester was trapped. He’d been given strict instructions to remain in bed and… well, after seeing the matron in action, he wasn’t going to press his luck. Not considering how ‘lucky’ he’d been recently.
How lucky he continued to be, considering Helen was in his room and the ceiling really wasn’t that interesting, he’d already counted the cracks seventeen times.
“You can’t just ignore me,” Helen said, getting right in his eyeline.
Lester sighed. “True, you’re rather like a bad penny,” he mused, “Or a rather persistent... puppy.”
“This isn’t a joke, James. I… we have to stop them.”
“Them?”
