Lester sneezed loudly as he huddled closer to the fire, his nose felt so stuffy as he tried to breathe.

“Inhale this, James.”

“Urgh.” Lester recoiled as Helen thrust something beneath his nose which made his eyes stream.

“Bloody hell, James. If I wanted to kill you, I could just leave you here,” Helen said, before adding, “All alone.”

Lester scowled at her but he knew she was telling the truth and if it would help… “Fine.”

“Deep breaths.”

Lester thought about snarking at her, at least, he did until he took his first clear inhale for what seemed forever.
