Primeval Drabble: Priorities
Title: Priorities
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: James Lester
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For P100 prompt 662: The Best Things in Life Are Free.
I’d hated being trapped through an anomaly but I was also grateful for the experience. That might sound paradoxical, but it was also the truth. I’d spent so long proving I was better than those who’d sneered at me for being from a red-brick university, that I’d lost sight of what was truly important.
Oh, I wasn’t about to give up my apartment (the view over London truly was worth the price) or my top-of-the-line Jaguar, but I would make more time to enjoy life. Money couldn’t buy the laughter of my children or the smile on my lover’s face.
