A/N: For P100 prompt 648: Autumn. A bit of a side-swipe of the prompt and for Helen month on Primeval Denial.
A/N 2: Definition: any period of maturity or of beginning decline/incipient decline.

Helen had hoped humanity would matured into a responsible species, one which deserved to take care of the Earth. Unfortunately, she saw little sign of that as she travelled the future, each path she took leading to more of the same short-sightedness and arrogance, the belief they were the untouchable rulers of the Earth.

Humanity didn’t deserve the Earth and Helen would make sure they didn’t inherit it just to despoil it. She just needed to find the right anomaly and time and place, then she could change the past and make sure a wiser species became the Earth’s caretaker.

But would any species be better? except cats, of course. Seriously, we are making a mess of things.

Thanks for reading.
