Matt waited nervously for Lester’s reaction to his confession.
“I see.”
“You see?” Matt repeated. “I’ve just told you my entire life is a lie. That I’m from a ruined future, sent back to stop it, and all you can say is, ‘I see’.”
“Yes, well...”
“James? What haven’t you told me?” Matt asked, knowing he’d missed something important.
“It seems to be the morning for confessions.”
“James?”
“My grandfather told me about the anomalies when I was a child. He taught me all he knew about survival and weapons...”
“What?”
“You do know you weren’t the only ones sent back?”
