Ryan needed to know and before he could talk himself out of it, he knocked and entered Lester’s office… only to stop and just look at the man seated within.

“Did you want something, Captain?”

The familiar drawl had the last part of the puzzle slot into place as half-remembered words he’d wondered where from fevered dreams came into focus. “Only what you want, sir,” Ryan replied, smiling at the effect his tone had on Lester. “Well, sir?”

Lester frowned before moving towards Ryan. “Well, they do say confession is good for the soul,” he murmured before kissing Ryan.
