A/N: For P100 prompt 622: In the Bushes. Set in my Wolfverse series – all you need to know is that Lester is a werewolf who can turn into a large wolf… see previous drabbles Temptation and Distracted.


I was only at this bloody excuse of a garden party because the minister had impressed its importance upon me. At least, if I wanted to keep the ARC under my control rather than that of Christine Johnson.

As if the company wasn’t excruciatingly enough, I also had to put up with another bane of my life. I knew it was there, in the bushes. I couldn’t decide if it was following me or if there were more than one… but I could hear it, them moving through the branches. And I couldn’t do a thing about them.

Bloody squirrels.
